One of my wife’s friends gave her a clipping with Fundrace, a 2004 presidential election money tracking site. It isn’t the cleanest site (if a link doesn’t work, try, try again - and you will find links to major options by selecting one of the first two choices). Yet I do like what it has to offer, including seeing where the money comes from in major cities, what the most expensive (and most frequent) hotels were/are for candidates, and being able to see who among your neighbors is donating (this data is somewhat limited just from what I know, but still interesting). I did see a lot more money and donors for Dean locally than I had been aware of, both from names I recognized from the campaign, and those I didn’t. I even saw a nearby Sharpton donation — but no Graham or Moseley Braun. I wouldn’t put a ton of stock into it, but as entertainment and general interest, it isn’t bad.
