DuPage Democrats Have Potential To Win

Turnout in the primaries, meetings that have drawn newcomers and a large crop of candidates challenging the Republican establishment give Democrats more hope than they’ve had for a while in DuPage - but it will still take some serious work. DuPage has been under one-party rule for so long that there is no shortage of issues for Democrats to campaign on, from increased taxes that don’t fly with voters (even some conservatives can’t figure where Republicans are coming from), to resource abuses that just don’t make sense, people in DuPage are starting to notice. Awareness is the first step.

[Ed. Note 5/28/04, old Daily Herald article link to “more hope” replaced by Chicago Tribune article, because the original link no longer works and the former Naperville Sun link to “don’t fly” was replaced by a Jesse Jackson link because the original is no longer online]

    Dear sir-

As a fellow Democrat, I feel Rob and candidates as yourself have a VERY GOOD chance to win! That Republican in Addison is now “waking up and smelling the coffee” knowing he and his party are finished in DuPage.

We don’t need HIGH TAXES ON OUR HOMES, DISTROYING OUR NATURAL RESOURCES TO A LONE BIDDER, OR A GOVERNMENT OF NONRESPONSIVE OFFICEHOLDERS HERE TO GET ONLY A PAY CHECK AND NOTHING ELSE! (Put simple- Vampires or better yet leaches taking blood off the system and taxpayers!)

I ask viewers as I will, VOTE DEMOCRAT and lets get a two party system back in DuPage and fair propective of all issues that involve us!

    Best success,
    ROBERT L. JONES
