Tonight I spoke before the Illinois AFL-CIO’s North Central Illinois Central Labor Council executive meeting seeking their endorsement and support. Two other candidates, Rob Freedman and Dirk Enger also spoke there seeking Union support. Rob is candidate for DuPage Clerk of the Circuit Court, and I’ve been assisting him with his campaign. He is among a group of up and coming DuPage Democrats that came from the local DuPage for Dean campaign. Dirk, who I met at the County Convention, is running as Democratic Candidate for the Illinois General Assembly in the 95th Representative District. He is a Union Ironworker who is a military veteran of the first Gulf War. He delivered a clear, forceful presentation at the meeting, and was a tough act to follow.
