I just got back from Doug Henk’s fundraiser at West Chicago’s Pal Joey’s. Doug is running for the County Board District 6 seat in DuPage. There was a good turnout with about thirty people coming to show their support for Doug, including Guy Rosenthal and Christine Cegelis. Doug gave a brief speech thanking everyone, and emphasizing that his race, as well as those of other DuPage Democrats in the room, was one that can be won. It’s going to take hard work, but with a strong group of Democratic candidates running on the right side of issues that matter to DuPage voters, we should make some headway in November.
