Ba-Rock The House in DuPage

While I was unable to attend, tonight Illinois U.S. Senate Candidate Barack Obama was in Wheaton for his house party teleconference throughout the state. Mark Demich, Chair of the Milton Township Democrats hosted - and the report I heard from Rebecca sounded like it Ba-Rocked the house!

[All quotations are of Rebecca, not Barack Obama]

“…[T]he whole backyard was full and people were wrapped around the side of the house.” Dick Durbin introduced Obama by phone, coming up with “a really funny slogan, something like, ‘Tell your papa, tell your mama, get out there and vote for Obama.’” Obama talked about the impact of Jack Ryan’s withdrawal, saying “he didn’t get in this race to fight against something, but to fight for something, to make sure everyone has a decent shot at life, and people won’t go bankrupt if they have medical emergencies they can’t afford.” Barack pointed out that 22 months ago when he began the race, he wasn’t sure if he would get this far, and “now here it is June 2004 and he’s running…with no opponent.”
