The Dean campaign spawned a number of political groups around the country. One that makes a lot of sense to me is Small Business For America. While I don’t read it as often as I should, I’ve been subscribed to a brief news email list for the MicroEnterprise Journal for a number of years now, and I can tell you that there are a lot of small (in this case very small) business needs that aren’t being met. Issues like healthcare cost control are big for small business. Democrats should make inroads into small business constituencies, despite the pro-Republican National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), because they have better solutions to offer small business than the pro-big business Bush Administration. For Democrats it’s time to get to (small) business.
