Bob’s Flight of Fancy:
To the Taxpayers of DuPage I Say “Don’t Think Twice, It’s Alright.”
Taxpayers have been taken for a ride by ‘just pay me whether I work or not’ John E. Glennon (p. 17), Robert “Bob, Weave and Contribute Please” Schillerstrom and the all-Republican DuPage County Board (bored in absentia).
A scene at the DuPage Airport, subsidized by DuPage County taxpayers for as much as six million or more each year.
“Hey Bob, let’s take a plane to the empty DuPage Tech Park.”
“But John, we’re already here - it’s part of the DuPage Airport complex.”
“With an hour until our meeting we can really fly to get there! Bob, it’s at taxpayer expense.”
“You’re right!”
“It’ll be fun, and we can take a ride back after the meeting too.”
“That’s two good ideas, John “G”! That’s why I have DuPage taxpayers paying you twice for everything.”
“Off the books?”
“Off the books.”
“Republican DuPage County Board?”
“Rubber stamp.”
“You the man, Bob! You the man!”
