Not only have I listened to him a lot (though it's true the concerns of tomato balcony growers are not often covered), but he would probably get my father-in-law's vote (that's one, put another one with it and you have a movement ;) I married into a family that has worked Illinois land for generations, and continues to - in fact they used to raise corn near your neck of the woods, well before the only crop raised became buildings.
