10 Reasons To Vote Mike Kisler For Coroner

The DuPage Republicans are offering some (interesting) candidates for Coroner, that is the position their leadership wants to eliminate because the current Coroner wouldn’t drop out for a politically connected DuPage County Board member. We’ll know their pick August 21, after Republican precinct committeemen make their choice. Here are my top 10 reasons to vote for Mike Kisler, the guy who won the primary elections because voters actually voted for him.

10. Mike actually has (relevant) experience.

9. Mike is not asking to be paid for not going to work.

8. Mike is running for Coroner, not Medical Examiner - it’s cheaper for taxpayers.

7. Candidate Bill Maio carries a concealed gun into country clubs, where some say he once ‘unconcealed it’ and waved it around while intoxicated. Mike thinks Bill may need better gun control.

6. Bill Maio resigned as deputy coroner after the gun incident. Mike doesn’t believe in do-overs with guns.

5. Candidate Michael Prueter, with no medical experience, has indicated that his service to the Republican Party is a strong qualifier for the office. Mike believes it’s disgraceful to imply that only Republicans die in DuPage County. “Death, and more importantly, the prevention of Death knows no party” according to Mike.

4. Alan Keyes, former presidential candidate, Maryland U.S. Senate candidate and current (for now) Illinois U.S. Senate candidate is considering a run for DuPage Coroner as part of his upward trend toward higher office.

3. Jack Ryan is available.

2. Bob Schillerstrom isn’t available.

1. Mike believes voters should elect, not political bosses appoint, the Coroner - you know, the office on the November election ballot.
