Worried about Alan Keyes’ poll numbers, Keyes Deputy Campaign Manager Dan Proft has taken a page out of the Bush campaign playbook. “The problem is we aren’t reaching enough undecided voters,” Proft said, “so it’s time to have more exclusive ticketed events.” Proft suggests tickets for events, perhaps augmented by having event goers sign pledges to support Keyes in the election, if they want to attend, should create the mass appeal Keyes is seeking. “Keyes is a man of the people, but we saw what happened at the Bud Billiken Day Parade - an event without tickets or pledges,” Proft concluded.
