From today’s Beacon News:
“A lot of people are going to disagree with me here,” [Kane County GOP Chairman Denny] Wiggins said. “But I think that Keyes and some of the things he stands for are going to bring out a lot of people who otherwise might have stayed home.”
I don’t know Kane County well, although I know Kane County Democratic Chair Mark Guethle, who is really a great, hardworking guy. I’ll place my bets with Guethle, Barack Obama and John Kerry - you don’t need to know Alan Keyes well to understand.

Wiggins is right: Keyes will turn out voters in record numbers.
Minor quibble, though: they’ll be Democrats.
