Indentured Servitude - That’s The Ticket!

From the party of individual rights and less government interference in private life….

I understand presidential campaigns urging people to volunteer and providing them with on-the-spot opportunities. I understand stacking venues with your supporters so that you always appear in the news to look good and never have to address hecklers, or even criticism. I don’t understand George W. Bush’s campaign. It’s one thing to rally your base, it’s another thing to ask for their social security numbers, make them pledge allegiance and force them to work (what do NRA members do - skip the rallies and buy guns to make the background checks worth it - it might be more private and less work).

Say what you will of Bush, he does not campaign like “a man of the people.”
