A Lesson From My Mother I Wish George Bush Had Heard Early On

The following rhyme is one my mother taught me as a lesson about driving, but I’ve found that it applies to a lot of things in life - and I think about it from time to time. I wish Barbara Bush had instilled its lesson in young George - perhaps things would be very different now for the rest of us. Of course George could also use some humility and self-reflection, among other character deficits, but I’ll keep this post short….

This is the story of Michael Day,
Who died maintaining his right of way.
His way was right. His will was strong.
And he died just as if he’d been wrong.
