Today I held a press conference at the Administrative Building on County Farm Road where I discussed the upcoming petition drive to eliminate within a year the DuPage Airport property tax that resident’s pay (the tax has cost us $6.5 million a year since 1993 and is projected to last until 2011). Residents attended the event from the 3rd, 5th and 6th County Board Districts. The petition will circulate after the November 2nd election among all districts in DuPage with the hope of putting pressure on County Board members to do the right thing. I will elaborate more on what I proposed today in a future blog entry.
