Former Clinton White House Chief of Staff Harold Ickes endorsed Howard Dean for DNC Chair yesterday. Ickes is an insider who this election founded The Media Fund (later resigning), served as Chief of Staff for America Coming Together (A.C.T.) and was involved in Joint Victory Campaign 2004 (which primarily funded the two previously mentioned groups), all 527 groups that contributed money to Democratic efforts in the 2004 election. Ickes considered a run for DNC Chair himself this time around, and is considered close to the Clintons.
