I came back late yesterday (with personal ‘home’ work still to do) from a weekend without computer access - so I missed the stir of people commenting about the DuPage Theatre issue. Everyone who commented and neither used profanity (which thankfully I haven’t seen yet) and was “on topic” (which was true thus far, except for one spam advertising some sort of medicine), will be posted in the blog comments - as is my policy at WurfWhile.com for every entry regardless of the topic or opinion. The reason for the delay in posting is that I need to approve most comments posted because of the roughly 60-80 spam comments advertising illicit medical wonders (and much worse) that I receive daily. You do not need to agree with me in discussion to be posted - it’s that simple. As far as requests for “equal time” - I do want to hear the counter arguments and think it fair to post what I take to be the “best case” for them - I’m sincerely interested in both sides - but I have never on any topic promised “equal time” and hesitate to label my offer to present the other side here as such. I am an individual with an interest in politics at the local, state and national level, this is my blog, and what I write here (for good or ill) represents my opinion based on what I understand the facts to be. I think people will find that I try to be fair in my treatment of issues and people, even where there is disagreement, and that I am willing to learn from people and, when I view their understanding to be better than my own, I am willing to change my views based on the facts - and that is the best I (and I would guess most others) can offer. I will make an attempt to respond to those comments that seem to need a response tonight after work.
