From the Friends of the DuPage Theatre:
“The Fight to Save the DuPage Theatre is not over!
The Lombard Historical Commission met last night in special session concerning their right to pursue a 6 month delay in demolition of the DuPage Theatre according to the village ordinance governing the commission. There were several Friends of the DuPage Theatre present, along with a representative from the National Trust for Historic Preservation, two attorneys from the Landmarks Preservation Council of Illinois and the attorney for the Friends of the DuPage Theatre. After considerable discussion among themselves and comments from the audience the members of the Historical Commission voted to “explore all means necessary , including legal, to invoke their right to pursue the 6 month demolition delay of the DuPage Theatre.” Two of the members were appointed to a committee to interview and appoint a pro-bono attorney and sign any legal actions on behest of the committee. Stay tuned - for further information”
