Weekend Dem Dates - Family Friendly, Candidate Approved

Bring the family this weekend - make a political connection!

Thursday, Feb 9

5:30 - 7:30 PM -> For older family (something to do when people come to town?) Nick Palmer, Democratic Candidate for 13th Congressional State Central Committeemen, will be at the City Saloon, 151 W. Ohio, Chicago, with a bar open for you and yours (in the two hour time period above) all for the open bar-friendly price of $40. If you plan to get your money’s worth, please make sure you have a designated driver or public transportation plan - keep the family safe! Questions or to RSVP, Call (312) 578-0450.

7:30 PM -> Comptroller Dan Hynes will speak at the DuPage Democratic Club Meeting, Lombard Park District Community House (Grace Street and St. Charles Road), Lombard, IL. Maybe you can ask Dan if his opponent in the race has figured out yet what she’s running for - maybe it’s still him.

Friday, Feb 10

I’ll try to find something to fill the day - but don’t see anything yet - enjoy the time off (for now) with the family!

Saturday, Feb 11

2-4:30 PM -> Lindy Scott and Ruben Zamora will attend a forum at the St. Andrew Methodist Church in Carol Stream (250 N. Gary Avenue), “Immigrants in DuPage: Our New Reality.” Contact the campaigns for more information - and learn more about our community!

6 - 8 PM -> Christine Cegelis is having a Valentine’s Day Party at Spaghetti Warehouse, 101 Busse Road (corner Busse & HIggins), Elk Grove Village. $35 gets you pasta choices you and your family will love for a candidate you hold dear.

Sunday, Feb 12

TBA-> Potluck Democracy Meeting in Plainfield with Bill Reedy. Pull out that recipe file, pick a good one and call Bruce and Sharon Texley, 815-372-3352, for more information and to RSVP.

3-7 PM -> Meet the Candidate event for Ruben Zamora at the Days Inn Elgin, 1585 Dundee Ave., Elgin. $10 suggested donation means you can bring the whole family! For more information contact Rev. Geri Solomon 630.809.8261 or 630.859.1030

Plan to spend quality time with the family and a candidate this weekend!
