From an article about DuPage County Board voting for pay raises in today’s Daily Herald:
“[Outgoing Finance Committee Chairman Robert] Heap admitted some board members don’t pull their weight.
‘I’d love to grab them by the scruff of their necks,’ he said.”
DuPage taxpayers would just like to get rid of them. Maybe the Herald can get Heap to answer the obvious follow-up question and name the slacking board members for the public good? Along with many voters in DuPage I’ve always believed the county could do better with new officials working hard to create better solutions - what I didn’t know was that Bob Heap agreed with us.
