Quick Election Note - Joe Vosicky The Story In DuPage Right Now

I’ve been sick the last couple days (but getting better) - so I’ll have more analysis soon. There are a lot of people (volunteers, candidates and staff) who worked their butts off this cycle and they deserve a lot of credit - and the numbers were up if not sufficient with one possible exception.

I haven’t been able to connect yet with Democrat Joe Vosicky who battled Republican Dennis Reboletti to within less than a half a percentage point (about 150 votes out of over 25,000), but with that race for Illinois House District 46 so close (the closest in DuPage), I’m not yet sure what Joe’s plans are or are not (i.e. whether he will try for a recount if possible or if he will concede). I don’t know enough about election law to know about what’s involved in a recount. I’ll try to find out more from Joe and post info as soon as I can. A lot of hearts were broken yesterday in DuPage - but I can only imagine how Joe, in his second run for the seat, is feeling right now.
