I met yesterday with Patricia Meyer, candidate for Naperville City Council, who has been going around listening to what residents have to say about the issues. Without committing, she was very interested in my thoughts about Naperville traffic congestion and transportation solutions. I gave her a number of ideas about how a marketing campaign could promote more Naperville mass transit use, and how mass transit could promote the local economy by creating a competitive advantage for business.
We also discussed issues including the business mix downtown, the tax base and development in Naperville over the last decade.
In what was really a long conversation, Patricia seemed genuinely interested and engaged in the issues, and was very well informed. I look forward to seeing her stands on the issues in the upcoming campaign.
