Woodridge Trustee Bob Brandt Google Ad

Robert “Bob” Brandt is a Woodridge Village Trustee famously scrupulous and thrifty about his politics and campaigning. His website includes a “Resident Inquiry Tracking System” that consists of resident requests and complaints, by numbering system and date, and what Bob has done regarding them from November 2002 to present. He also tracks by date his “personal issues” (i.e. actions he’s taken on non-Woodridge level issues) that dates from 1992, “local issues” since 1998, “Action” pages of his actions since 2003 and various issue topic pages (from the I-55 sound wall and pit bulls to street lights and zoning issues).

In Robert Brandt’s Google Ad the linked page you arrive at points out the following:

The Robert Brandt Campaign Committee was created to accept contributions from individuals and businesses to assist me with my political campaigns (including my 2007 re-election campaign for Woodridge Trustee), as well as expenses incurred doing my job as Trustee since the Village does not reimburse my expenses.
….

I have proven very efficient with campaign funds. I was outspent $9 to $1 in 2003 and still won the election.

….

Costs of other political campaigns:

George W. Bush spent $339,280,603 to become President in 2004.

Rod Blagojevich spent $20,950,657 to become Governor in 2002.

Barack Obama spent $14,171,954 to become U.S. Senator in 2004.

Judy Biggert spent $542,733 to remain U.S. Representative in 2004.

Christine Radogno spent $134,745 to remain Illinois State Senator in 2004.

Eileen Lyons spent $79,050 to remain Illinois State Representative in 2004.

I spent $1,180 to become a Trustee for the Village of Woodridge in 2003 (my five incumbent opponents spent $9,818 to remain Trustees - three won, two lost).”

Given Bob Brandt’s record, it comes as no surprise that many people find Google AdWords are a thrifty way to get website traffic.

While I’ve only met Bob once, I have long been impressed by his approach to politics. It may seem like small potatoes to an outsider - but Bob treats the issues and concerns of each resident with a rare sense of dignity and importance. His openness and diligence is all the more impressive for a lower level public official that lacks staff for constituent services. In sum, Bob shows Woodridge residents that he cares about what they care about - and that they are his priority. Woodridge residents are lucky to have Bob Brandt serving them. Give Bob your financial support. On April 17, 2007 give Bob Brandt your vote. You deserve quality representation - and Bob has earned your vote.
