Last Night’s South East Villages’ District 204 Candidate Forum
Last night I moderated a forum for the Indian Prairie School District 204 candidates at Waubonsie Valley’s Gold Campus put on by the South East Villages neighborhood (SEV). It was the only all-Aurora sponsored forum and it sounds like SEV looks forward to hosting similar forums in the future - which I think is a great idea. There was a lot of audience participation with questions (we were only able to ask at most two-thirds of them because of time constraints) and the candidates really provided a lot of excellent information. Kudos to the SEV Board for organizing the event, to the audience for their involvement and to the candidates for their desire to serve! Aurora 9th Ward Alderman Leroy Keith was in attendance and complimented the organizers afterwards on a job well done. It was an honor to be there.
