Tammy Duckworth Said To Consider Rematch With Peter Roskam In 6th Congressional

So-Called “Austin Mayor” has it here. The only thing I’d add is that in addition to Tammy receiving this year’s 13th annual Illinois Distinguished Citizen Award at the DuPage Democrats Presidents’ Day Gala, one that also had State Representative Linda Chapa LaVia as a speaker, I’ve noticed Tammy has been speaking at local Dem township meetings (like Addison’s) - so I suspected she was considering another run against Congressman Peter Roskam.

    I did just read the above post about Tammy Duckworth. Based on my experience knocking on doors for her in the last election, I suspect Tammy will not win. She has never supported a quick withdrawal from Iraq (her “we’ll stand down as they stand up” was never a practical answer to the problems there) and there is a small percentage who would vote for a Democrat but not for someone who lives outside of the district.

    We need a different and better candidate who lives in the district.
