A reader emailed me Marni Pyke’s Daily Herald article from August 2, 2005, “Traveling by Bus? Settle in for a trip,” part of a series covering DuPage’s poverty crisis (see the articles here (scroll down)) that is really one of the better pieces of local journalism I’ve read. While I didn’t have Marni’s piece in mind when I started my recent blog entry, “Putting Brien Sheahan on a Bus - A ‘No DuPage Transportation Crisis’ Thought Experiment” - I did think about it before the end of writing the blog piece. I should have acknowledged Marni Pyke’s article - it was a powerfully simple way of illustrating DuPage mass transit problems that unfortunately still exist. Hat tip to Marni!
