I caught Joe Serra last night at the Edwards fundraiser and asked him if he had any updates on his involvement in the 14th congressional race. Joe said he was starting to look at staff this coming week, and he was gathering commitments from donors. What will dictate his entry into the race will likely be having enough money to feel viable (a number wasn’t publicly disclosed). Joe sees himself as a moderate in the race - and feels confident that if he enters it, he can win.

The hunger to run came through as I talked to Joe Serra. We’ll see if he gets enough money in what is already a contested race.
