Naperville District 203 Board Member Jim Caufield Resigns

Citing personal reasons, District 203 School Board member Jim Caufield resigned from the Board on Tuesday according to the Daily Herald. Caufield was known for his fiscal and social conservatism, and while his seat was not up for election this past cycle, he had aligned himself with the losing slate of Mike Davitt (former incumbent), Dan Denys and Jerry Buch in the last election.

School Board President Suzyn Price said, “Jim represented a voice and a legitimate voice…. I appreciate the diversity of opinions and I hope we can maintain that in any reconfigured board.”

According to the Daily Herald, School Board policy states that they will accept resumes from interested applicants and fill the seat in 45 days.
