Yesterday State Representative Joe Dunn announced he will not seek a fourth term in office. Today DuPage County State’s Attorney Joe Birkett announced he will seek a fourth term in office. Both Republicans had suggested in the past that they might not seek another term - Joe Dunn recently saying he might retire and Joe Birkett saying last summer he might retire and then reinforcing it after his Lt Governor loss last year.
