Democrats Laesch, Stein Endorsements In IL-14 Primary

The Democratic Advancement Political Action Committee has again endorsed Democrat John Laesch in the 14th Congressional primary. DAPAC, which “targets Republican-held seats in the U.S. House of Representatives and helps ‘new progressive’ Democratic candidates run and win in those districts,” endorsed John in his first bid against Congressman Dennis Hastert in 2004. John reports that “campaign contributions from DAPAC members ‘who want better representation from the United States Congress’ have already started” coming into the campaign.

Today the Jotham Stein campaign announced the endorsement of Harry Katz, Dean of Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations. Katz said of Stein, he “is an ideal candidate, pro labor and pro business at the same time. Jotham understands the complexities, interdependence and requirements of labor and business in an increasingly global economy…. He will fight for good paying jobs, health care for all and many of labor’s other needs, while at the same time, fighting to bring businesses to his Congressional District. Jotham will be a force for Illinois’ 14th Congressional District….”

The Democratic Primary in the 14th Congressional District also includes candidates Bill Foster of Geneva and Vern DelJonson of DeKalb.
