Yesterday Republican State Senator Chris Lauzen announced his candidacy for the 14th Congressional race according to the Beacon News. Lauzen, a conservative whose state senate district overlaps with the 14th congressional district, will face off against conservative dairy magnate and North Aurora businessman Jim Oberweis and more moderate Geneva Mayor Kevin Burns.
From the Beacon News:
“Wednesday morning marked the beginning of a whirlwind tour for Lauzen, who is in the middle of a three-day, eight-county stop along his ‘Faith, Family, and the Fruits of Freedom’ tour.”
First thought - familiar, Fox Valley Republican, forms a picture for me:
Who stole from whom? Don’t know - although it sounds like Lauzen may have plucked his “fruit” a bit later. Nice alliterations though. I have a few too - what about “I” for “Iraq;” or “H” for “Health Care” and “Habeas Corpus;” or “E” for “Economy,” “Energy” and “Environment.” No? Then give them both an “F.”
