Now that the Aurora Planned Parenthood facility has opened, Emily at Planned Parenthood Federation of America reports that their opponents have decided to picket Planned Parenthood clinics across the country for 40 days - September 26 - November 4. In response, Planned Parenthood is launching a blog Emily X: The True Life Diary of a Frontline Planned Parenthood Worker and Activist. Using video, photos and stories, this blog will give people an inside look at what it’s like to work at a Planned Parenthood clinic that’s been targeted by protesters. They’re also offering supporters a chance to “Pledge a Protester” (right-side of blog) where you can pledge to donate an amount of money per protester (by day 17 they’ve had 167). Emily’s been on the road visiting clinics for the project and says that “hearing the stories of the people at our health centers (the care they provide, the things they see, the reasons they do it) has been amazing.”
