Bill Foster’s Letter To Dennis Hastert On SCHIP

From a Bill Foster campaign email:

“Dear Friends,

There is an important vote in the House of Representatives tomorrow. The reauthorization of the State Children’s Health Insurance Program was vetoed by President Bush and a large, bipartisan majority of Congress is trying to override that veto.

From the beginning, this campaign has been about changing the way Washington works and this vote is an important step in that direction. I encourage you to take a moment to contact your representative and advocate that those who have voted against it should reconsider. I would also encourage you to show your appreciation for those who are fighting to expand access to healthcare for children.

….
It is a small gesture, but nonetheless, it’s important that we speak out and tell people clearly where we stand.

I, for one, believe we need to change Washington’s priorities. I hope you’ll join me.

Sincerely,

Bill Foster

[Whoops! Here’s Bill’s letter to Congressman Hastert:

“As a concerned citizen, I implore you to reconsider your position on expanding the S-CHIP Program. This bill has overwhelming, bipartisan support in both chambers of Congress and could provide health insurance for 10 million children across the United States.

The American people clearly want a change of priorities in Washington. The cost of this program for an entire year is equal to just 1 week of expenditures on the war in Iraq.

I hope you can find it in your heart to reverse your position and vote to override President Bush’s veto.

Sincerely,

G. William Foster

Foster is just another rich jerk who wants to control the world. I don’t see any difference between him and Denny Hastet.

    Hi Bob,

If you don’t see a difference, you aren’t paying attention.
