The Campaign to Save Children’s Healthcare, a pro-SCHIP coalition, is targeting Congressman Judy Biggert with phone calls to get her to change her vote and start supporting health insurance funding for children of working parents of modest means who cannot afford it. Coalition members include AFL-CIO, AFSCME, SEIU, MoveOn.org, Political Action, Americans United for Change, USAction, TrueMajority Action, Catholics United, Campaign for America’s Future, MomsRising and ACORN.
The group is asking voters to call their SCHIP Toll Free Hotline (866-544-7573) to contact their congressmen. There may be a vote on SCHIP funding in the House of Representatives today - so call right away!
