Barack Obama Channels MLK At JJ Dinner Last Saturday

Here’s the video link. I’m hard to impress speech-wise (perhaps because I’ve read too many Abraham Lincoln speeches and watched Martin Luther King speeches), but this was the best effort I’ve seen by Obama (or anyone else this cycle), and it was a good speech. Barack made reference to MLK, and there was a moral authority to the speech that fits the times and transcends them. The crowd responded because Obama hit the right notes.

Don’t forget, this type of stuff hurts the Democratic Party in the long run. People get turned off by this!
