I met Bill Foster early in the campaign and sat down with him over dinner at a local diner (disclosure he bought my omelet for about six bucks). He’s a down-to-earth, smart and likable guy who is running to try to make a difference.
Bill Foster’s first commercial (below) shows his impressive science and business background, providing testimonials to Bill’s ability to innovate and to create good American manufacturing jobs. It stresses Foster’s commitment to practical solutions, and his ability to work together with people to “get things done.” Finally, the ad highlights Bill’s commitment to fiscal discipline, ending our dependence on foreign oil, and bringing our troops home from Iraq. That’s Bill Foster’s campaign in a minute - and the ad is a great introduction to the candidate.
The ad is also a big improvement over one of Bill’s earlier videos - the message is tighter among other improvements. My only criticism of the new commercial is that Bill Foster should smile more - he has when I’ve seen him, it would increase his appeal, and it would make a strong ad more winning.
The Foster Campaign says that they will start running the ad throughout the district on cable tomorrow, and will run it “at least” until the February 5th primary.
