Stan Jagla’s Campaign Says He’s Still On The Ballot - Illinois State Board of Elections Finds Enough Valid Signatures

[Hat tip Bob Peickert for the scoop]

In the 6th Congressional District Democrat Stan Jagla’s campaign reports today that the initial challenge to its nominating petitions has failed. The Illinois State Board of Elections has found enough valid signatures for Jagla to remain on the ballot. The Objector, Robert Flynn, still has the option to challenge the state’s findings. Flynn’s lawyer, Matt Flamm was reportedly consulting his client to decide on any further course of action according to Stan Jagla, who said that “one way or another,” the challenge will be resolved by December 6th.

I spoke briefly tonight with Democrat Jill Morgenthaler, the primary opponent of Stan Jagla, who said that she had always planned to run against Jagla in the primary - and indicated that the news did not change her campaign plans.
