Democrat Bill Foster received the Service Employees International Union Illinois Council (SEIU) endorsement yesterday. It’s Foster’s second big union endorsement (AFSCME also endorsed Bill) and strikes a real blow to Democrat John Laesch’s campaign, which recently gained the AFL-CIO endorsement. John used to work as an Illinois SEIU employee helping with their universal health care initiative and while he has gained some minor union support, SEIU would have been a huge help. SEIU is known as a union that works elections hard.
