WGN Radio is reporting that outgoing Congressman Dennis Hastert will endorse Republican Jim Oberweis in the 14th Congressional District race. That may explain (or alternatively, may have been caused by) Republican Chris Lauzen’s less than complimentary preemptive strike regarding a Hastert endorsement.
Jim Oberweis can only hope the Congressman Dennis Hastert finds a way to drag out this endorsement like the news of Hastert’s retirement - only this time it might be better not to cost taxpayers an additional $1 million - fiscal conservativism and all that you know….
