Last quarter Democrat Jotham Stein raised $61,555.23 in total contributions (including donating almost $2,500 to himself). This quarter he raised $45,314.02 in total contributions (including a bit over $3,000 he donated himself) and lent his campaign an additional $26,740.11. Jotham has loaned his campaign a total of $60,470.13 since its inception - but that, plus his fundraising results gets Stein to $211,948.28 since the campaign began - and I don’t think it will be enough to be competitive in the 14th District this primary cycle. Stein has limited cash on hand (at the end of the quarter it was just over $40,000) - so unless he’s got something up his sleeve in fundraising or loans, he won’t be able to buy much direct mail, TV ads, etc.
I honestly believe that Jotham Stein has put a lot of effort into his campaign - and I expect him to finish out with a lot of effort. But as I said before it takes more than effort to win.
