From CBS News the Jim Oberweis quote about his made up advertisement that says it all:
Yep, you’ve got to have real strong community roots and be dealing with a real pressing problem to hire actors. Or maybe you hire actors when you just need to, well, “act” like it’s real?

In closing days of campaign, Oberweis admits his support isn’t real and that he has no idea how to listen to real people
With less than 48 hours until the polls open, Jim Oberweis admitted to the news media what voters in the 14th district already know well: he has no support for his “nasty, smug, condescending … and dishonest” [Chicago Tribune editorial, 3/4/08] campaign tactics. He also demonstrated how incredibly out of touch he is with real people’s concerns.
Oberweis said to the media today that finding real people to talk about issues was too hard, so he instead made up facts and used actors.
“Three or four days before the end of the campaign to go out and spend time trying to find people to fit those categories was a lot more difficult than just finding actors,” said Oberweis.
Scientist and businessman Bill Foster was not surprised to hear of Oberweis’ tone-deaf remarks.
“In Congress you have to work hard at listening to the concerns of real people and pay attention to the facts. You can’t go out there and make things up to fit your storyline. President Bush did that before we invaded Iraq and look where it got us. Jim Oberweis has consistently followed in Bush’s path and his campaign tactics are no different. It’s time for something new.
“The voters of the 14th district have a tremendous opportunity on Saturday, March 8 to set this nation on a new course. I believe strongly that they will, once again, reject Jim Oberweis’ dishonest, negative campaign tactics and choose change,” said Foster.

“Earlier today, TV stations began pulling down a false pro-Bill Foster television attack ad because they learned that Bill Foster’s allies weren’t telling the truth. And this afternoon, we’ve become aware that targeted voters throughout the district received a mail piece yesterday that flat-out lies about Jim Oberweis — again, in the name of electing Bill Foster,” said Pascoe. “By attacking Jim because he is a strong supporter of securing the borders and ending illegal immigration, these unknown, unnamed Foster allies are smearing EVERYONE in the 14th District who believes we need to get illegal immigration under control by securing the borders, denying amnesty, and ending illegal immigration. And that’s just wrong.
The mailer is sent with stamps from California from an organization that no one can find. That’s right you guys are all pure as the fresh driven snow…

Oberweis Dairy went to state court Thursday to try to stop the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee from continuing to air ads that claimed illegal immigrants worked at its stores.
Why. Beacuse they didn’t work for the Dairy.
I have seen the mailer, you should all be real proud of that.

Posted 07 Mar 2008 at 7:40 pm ¶I used to live in the 14th CD. I’m amazed that after 14 years and many attempts by Mr. Oberweis that he has yet to get to elected to any office, not even Dog Catcher.
This tells me that the good people of the 14th CD are smart enough to recognize this tool for what he is.
I only wish that I could vote for Bill Foster tomorrow. At least the 14th CD now has a real choice for a true leader rather than a follower from the bush leagues.

I have unsuccessully tried to let him know the true meaning, at least in my thoughts of a true human been. hopely his 3rd primary defeat will make him retreat, if not I have faith that people will prevail and not let this self centered biggot loose.
