Democrat Joe Heneghan, IL-48th House Dist, Launches Website

Illinois House State Representative Candidate Joe Heneghan has just recently launched his website at www.heneghan-for-rep.com. Joe’s a very down to earth guy who is making the rounds and meeting voters in the district. In a Democratic year Joe will likely be competitive with Robert Schillerstrom-backed county board member Michael Connelly, who won a squeaker over Doug Krause in the GOP primary. After the recent financial crisis, being a member of the DuPage County Board isn’t much of a recommendation for a candidate, although to be fair to Connelly he wasn’t there long. Being endorsed and receiving primary funding from County Board Chair Robert Schillerstrom, however, is another story.

    While it was mentioned, it was not emphasized that Connelly is hoping to leave the Schillerstrom-led DuPage County Board in oder to serve the good citizens of the 48th District. Connelly is a well-seasoned lawyer, and will do well in Springfield to help the Illinois House battle the ultra-corrupt Blago administration. It may be a Democratic year, but not to those elected officials in the general assembly.

    Oh please, Robert, it’s absurd to compare the conflict within the DuPage County Board with the shenanigans in Chicago/Cook County/Springfield. Connelly was barely a year into his term as board member when he decided to run for state rep. The intelligent voters of DuPage will not stand for the current problems caused by Democratic Party rule in the governor’s mansion (or should I say some Chicago home).
