“At Least Four….”

Like many Americans facing the housing crisis, John McCain apparently doesn’t know if he still owns his home. Unlike almost all Americans, that’s because John McCain has lost count of how many homes he owns.

When asked by Politico how many homes he has, John McCain said, “I think - I’ll have my staff get to you.” That’s embarrassing and out of touch. But it gets worse. Politico then checked with McCain’s staff, and they came back with “at least four.”

“At least four.” Even those people paid to know the ins and outs of John McCain’s life and history don’t know how many homes he has - but it’s “at least four.”

I still don’t know how many homes McCain has - although it looks like the number is between six and eight - but I am happy for John McCain. At a time of economic uncertainty for many Americans who are just scraping by, and sometimes losing their home, at least McCain has a place (or “has places”) he can call home. Now, if he can just remember where they are….

You are wrong on two counts, Robert. Obama owes Rezko nothing anymore. And the McCain campaign now claims that the houses all belong to Cindy:

Though McCain is widely perceived to have drawn first blood by attacking Obama’s character, the [McCain campaign] official said that the difference between Obama’s mocking McCain for his wealth and his shaky answer on the number of homes he owns was that McCain’s charge “reflects an existential reality,” where Obama’s charges “attack Cindy. She owns the homes. I thought he said the wives were off-limits.”

Strike that second sentence in my comment above. Obama never owed Rezko anything. Rita Rezko bought the lot that sold separately next door to the Obama home, and the Obamas later bought a portion of it.

McCainiacs better head back to the William Ayers story, and all the stuff they were doing when Barack Obama was an 8-year old 60s radical….

    I DISAGREE-

IN RESPECT, OBAMA HAS NO RIGHT TO GO AFTER SEN. MCAIN AND NOT REVEAL HIS DEALINGS WITH REZCO. AS WE HEARD AND NOW KNOW. ( TO BE CONTINUED I’M SURE.) IF THIS WAS FALSE, HE WOULD BE IN TROUBLE FOR SLANDER.

OBAMA STILL HAS TO ANSWER THE COMMENT ON IS DEALING WITH THE TERRORIST GROUP RAZA AND HIS DEALINGS WITH THE REV. WRIGHT.

HOWARD DEAN HAS NERVE GOING AFTER SEN. MCAIN’S WAR HERO RECORD AT THE CONVENTION. SHOWS ME WHO HE IS. VERY LITTLE. FINALLY VOTE FOR A TRUE AMERICAN AND WAR HERO JOHN MC’CAIN IN 08!

    Hi Robert and BD,

    Thanks for writing.

Robert, the Rezko issues have been fully vetted by the Chicago Tribune among others, and while Barack Obama has admitted he might have used better judgment, there just doesn’t seem to be a “there” there as far as scandal.

I do think you’d be on much more solid ground, Robert, if Cindy McCain’s financial information was released. While it’s true that for tax purposes Cindy and John seem to keep their finances separate, it’s also true that Cindy McCain’s money (or her Dad’s before her) clearly has financed (from the beginning) John McCain’s political career. If John McCain’s living in her homes and using them for political entertaining, then it’s obvious her money still finances his extraordinarily rich lifestyle.

Robert, McCain and the Republicans have nothing to offer anymore. That’s why you people are left with nothing but loopy conspiracies and fun & games with Obama’s name. I’m not saying it won’t work on the electorate, but it’s hardly good for America.
